How to Schedule Social Media Posts with Claude (2026 Guide)

PostAxis Team·

To schedule social media posts with Claude, add PostAxis as a custom connector: Claude turns your notes into posts in your voice, PostAxis checks each one against the network's rules and schedules it to your connected accounts. It takes under a minute, uses OAuth, and once added works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile. This guide is for people who already like how Claude writes and want it to handle the posting too.

What you can automate with Claude

Claude's strength is writing that sounds like a person, and holding a lot of context (your notes, an old post you liked, a style guide) while it does. That shapes what it is good at here:

  • Notes into posts. A messy list of what happened this week becomes five clean LinkedIn and Threads posts, scheduled across next week.
  • Writing in your voice. Give Claude a few of your past posts and it matches the rhythm and vocabulary, then schedules the new ones.
  • A full month in one go. Plan 30 days of posts, validate them all, review a calendar view, then schedule.
  • One release, every network. A punchy X line, a short LinkedIn story and the full changelog on Telegram, all at the same time.
  • Quick posts from your phone. Because the connector follows your account, you can ask Claude mobile to post a photo while you are away from your desk.

What you need

  • A PostAxis account. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial and includes MCP access with OAuth sign-in.
  • Your social accounts connected under Accounts in PostAxis.
  • A paid Claude plan with custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings first.
  • No API key and nothing to install.

How to connect Claude to PostAxis (step by step)

  1. Create your PostAxis account at app.postaxis.io.
  2. Connect your social accounts. Open Accounts in PostAxis and connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads or Telegram. Claude can only post to accounts connected here and never sees their passwords.
  3. Open Connectors. In Claude on the web or desktop, click your name → Settings → Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  4. Paste the MCP URL. Name it PostAxis, paste the URL below and click Add. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty; PostAxis registers Claude automatically.
https://postaxis.io/api/mcp
  1. Connect and approve. Click Connect next to PostAxis, sign in to PostAxis on the page that opens and click Approve.
  2. Enable it in a chat. In a chat, open the tools menu (the sliders icon) and make sure PostAxis is switched on. Claude's interface changes over time, so if the icon looks different, look for the menu that lists connectors.
  3. Check it works. Ask:
Which accounts can you post to?

Claude shows the list_accounts call, runs it and lists your accounts. From then on it shows each tool call and asks before running ones that create, change or delete posts.

5 workflows you can copy

Turn this week's notes into posts

The workflow Claude is best at. Paste whatever you have: bullet points, a voice memo transcript, a Slack message you sent your team.

Here are my notes from this week (below). Turn them into five posts for
LinkedIn and Threads. LinkedIn: first person, short paragraphs, no
emojis, no hashtags. Threads: one or two sentences, more casual.
Spread them Monday to Friday next week at 9:00 Asia/Tashkent.
Show me all ten captions before scheduling.

- closed our first enterprise customer after 4 months of calls
- rewrote onboarding, sign-up to first post is now one screen
- hiring a designer, remote
- lesson: shorter demos converted better
- shipping Telegram support next week

Claude writes the captions, waits for your edits, then calls get_platform_rules to confirm Threads' 500-character limit and create_posts_bulk to schedule five posts, each with a LinkedIn and a Threads caption. You get something like: "Scheduled 5 posts for Monday to Friday at 9:00 (Asia/Tashkent). All passed the rules check."

Teach Claude your voice once

If you post often, do this before anything else. It makes every later post better.

Here are six LinkedIn posts I wrote that did well (below). Describe my
writing style in 8 bullet points: sentence length, how I open, how I
close, words I use and avoid. I'll save it as instructions.

No PostAxis tools run here. Save Claude's answer in a Claude Project's instructions (or your profile preferences) and keep your social media chats in that project. Every post Claude schedules from then on starts from your style, not a generic one.

Plan and schedule 30 days at once

For when you want the month done in one sitting. Claude can send up to 50 posts in one bulk call, so 30 days fits easily.

Plan 30 days of posts for X and LinkedIn about our product, starting
1 November. Mix: 40% tips, 30% customer problems we solve, 20% behind
the scenes, 10% product updates. One post a day at 10:00 Europe/Berlin.
Validate them all, show me the calendar as a table, then wait for my OK.

Claude drafts 30 posts with an X and a LinkedIn caption each, then calls create_posts_bulk with validate_only=true. PostAxis checks every caption and saves nothing. Claude shows you the table and any problems it fixed. When you approve, it repeats the call without validate_only and the month appears in your PostAxis calendar.

Ship a release to every network

When a release deserves a different format on each network, ask for all of them in one request.

Share the 2.0 release with the screenshot from our blog
(https://example.com/blog/2-0/hero.png): a punchy line on X, a short
story on LinkedIn, the full changelog on Telegram. All at 14:00
Europe/London today.

Claude calls upload_media_from_url for the screenshot, then one create_post with a caption per account. Telegram allows 4,096 characters, but only 1,024 when a post has media, so Claude keeps the changelog under that or PostAxis rejects it. The result is one post ID, scheduled together for 14:00.

Post a photo right now from your phone

Once PostAxis is added, it is available in the Claude mobile apps too. Handy for event photos or a quick announcement.

Publish this photo to Instagram and our Telegram channel now with a
short caption: "Live from the meetup in Berlin, come say hi at the
PostAxis table." Tell me when it's live.

If the photo is on your phone, Claude calls create_upload_link and hands you a one-time link; you upload the photo there and tell Claude it is done. (For a photo that is already online, it uses upload_media_from_url instead.) Claude then publishes with create_post and checks get_post for each network's status.

Network limits Claude works within

NetworkCaption limitMedia rules
LinkedIn3,000Optional; up to 9 images or a video
Threads500Optional; up to 10 images or a video
X (Twitter)280Optional; up to 4 images or a video
Telegram4,096 (1,024 with media)Optional; up to 10 images or a video
Instagram2,200Required: 1–10 images or one video (Reel); professional account

Claude writes long by default, so these limits matter. PostAxis checks every version against the network's rules before saving and rejects anything that breaks them with an error that says what to fix. Claude reads the error, shortens or adjusts, and retries, so you never end up with a post that would fail at publish time.

Tips for better posts

  • Use a Claude Project for social media. Put your voice description, audience and banned words in the project instructions and add a few example posts as project knowledge. Every chat in the project starts from there.
  • Validate first. For any batch, say "validate first and show me the list". It costs nothing and catches length problems before they exist.
  • Say the timezone. "9:00 Asia/Tashkent" beats "9 am". Without one, Claude uses whatever timezone it was told or UTC.
  • Ask for drafts when you want a second look. "Save these as drafts" puts them under Drafts in PostAxis, where you can edit and schedule them later.
  • Tell Claude the length you want. "One or two sentences" or "under 200 characters" works better than hoping it guesses short.
  • Read the tool calls. Claude shows each call before running it. A quick glance at the time and account list catches most mistakes.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't add a custom connector. Custom connectors need a paid Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise, an owner has to add PostAxis under Organization settings first.
  • Claude says no accounts are connected. Connect at least one account under Accounts in PostAxis. With several workspaces, tell Claude which one: "use my Acme workspace".
  • 401 Unauthorized or "sign in again". The sign-in expired or was revoked. Click Connect next to PostAxis in Settings → Connectors to sign in again.
  • A post was rejected before saving. The error explains the rule (caption length, media count, video format). Ask Claude to fix it and try again.
  • Posts are at the wrong time. Include the timezone and ask Claude to move the affected posts with update_post.

FAQ

Can Claude post to social media?

Yes. With PostAxis added as a custom connector, Claude can draft, schedule and publish posts to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, LinkedIn, Facebook Pages, Threads and Telegram channels. It shows each tool call and asks before creating, changing or deleting posts.

Which Claude plans support custom connectors?

Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid plans. Once you add PostAxis, it works across Claude on the web, desktop and mobile.

Is there a one-click "Connect to Claude" button?

PostAxis has been submitted to the Claude connector directory and is in review. Until it is listed, adding it as a custom connector takes about a minute and uses the same OAuth sign-in.

Can Claude upload images and videos?

Yes, media you already have. Claude can import media from a public URL with upload_media_from_url, or create a one-time upload link for a file on your device, then attach it to posts. PostAxis does not generate images or video.

Does Claude see my social media passwords?

No. Claude signs in to PostAxis with OAuth and only gets access to PostAxis. Your social accounts stay connected inside PostAxis. You can revoke Claude any time under Settings → API keys → Connected agents.

How is this different from Claude Code or Cowork?

Claude (the app) is for chat. Claude Code is the terminal coding agent and is handy for posting release notes straight from your repo. Claude Cowork works through longer tasks with your files. All three use the same PostAxis server.

If you split your time between assistants, the ChatGPT guide covers the same setup there, and the complete guide to AI agents for social media compares every supported agent.
